Letter from Your Worthy President
| Fellow Eagles, There are GREAT things happening at YOUR Club!! We had a historical event (for us) on August 10, 2010; we initiated SEVEN new members into membership and the FIRST Woman ever. In fact there were FIVE Ladies (5) at one time, along with Two men. (see picture) We are on a roll for membership, there are two more to be initiated from a previous meeting, and at the last meeting, we voted acceptance on two more, one man and one woman. Their initiation will be September 28,2010. Our new members have some ideas that 'we haven't tried" and we are open to their suggestions. The new members are already participating in Aerie Fundraisers, as Leah volunteered to Chair the Diabetic Research Committee. Stop in and be a part of your club and show support for our new members. Change is Good!! Along with the 'new' kitchen, several new Trustees, and a bunch of new / old / carryover and ongoing changes, the Club is moving on in a great fashion!! And we are trying to keep up 'with the times'. You can expect to see more and better things happening at the Club. For one, we will be re-starting the Friday Night Fish Fry in the near future. It will be a different format then in the past, stay tuned to the Newsletter for more information. Better yet, show up at a meeting, find out what's happening and be a part of it, things are interesting and informative. If you have anyone that may be interested in becoming an Eagle, have them fill out an application and we will take it from there. Again, we are on a roll, be a part of it!!
